Access to Coastal Area / Toll Road

Entering Mexico and approaching the bridge, the old access to Avenida Internacional is now blocked (visible by Pink X). The best way now is to stay in the 2nd lane from the right. STAY RIGHT of the concrete barrier that separates you from the two left lanes that loop around and head downtown (Centro). Follow the next loop around that will indicate that you are taking the access to Tecate on the Via Rapida. The right lanes on that access go to Zona Rio / Paseo del los Heroes. Stay in the far left lane and take the ramp access left (marked in Green) that will take you back along the Avenida Internacional that most Gringos are familiar with to reach Playas de Tijuana and the coastal toll road to Rosarito Beach and Ensenada. This way you can avoid downtown and getting lost. If you miss the left hand side ramp you will end up on the Via Rapida heading east.

If you miss the left hand ramp and end up on the Via Rapida, DON'T panic! You can just take your first available exit right and make a right turn heading up to Paseo de los Heroes. At the glorieta make a right turn and head west, staying in the right lane. Right before the end of the street where it becomes the access back to the border / San Diego, you can take the access ramp on the right to Rosarito which will connect you back to the Avenida Internacional and the coast / toll road.
